The Angler

A wild trout is far too valuable to be caught
only once. These fish are quite sensitive to
disruption to any part of the ecology and serve
as a barometer to the overall health of the
entire watershed of a stream. Every community
should be both proud and protective of the
living water they have been blessed with or
have reclaimed. The same stream, which the fly
fisherman has come to love and respect, can be
enjoyed by all people, as a place of beauty, to
find peace and experience what is truly right
and good in this world. All people benefit
when any stream is maintained or restored to a
state of health which allows wild trout to
thrive. Jim Gray has agreed to give twenty
five dollars from each print sold of The Angler
to an unprecedented joint effort between the
Great Smoky Mountains National Park and
Tennessee Trout Unlimited to fund restoration
projects of trout streams within the Park.
